The last chapter ended Paul's first mission.

Chapter 15 begins with condition the of being saved, ie. salvation. This is an important foundation principle in Christianity.

The first part of the chapter (1-22) recount the argument whether circumcision is a requirement for salvation. This was brought before the leaders in Jerusalem which come to be called the Jerusalem Council.

The decision in this chapter was written in a letter to be read to the Gentile (23-35), this was further referred by Paul in Galatians 2.

The last part of the chapter (36-41) recount the incident of the disagreement between Paul and Barnabas.

1 Some Jewish Christian came and still clings on to the necessity of following Moses' Law and the teaching that circumcision is required to be saved.
